UV®3 Mobile UVSS - UV®3 Mobile Under-vehicle Surveillance System

UV®3 Mobile is the first miniature and portable under-vehicle screening system ever developed.

Specially designed to help security users to effortlessly identify suspicious objects beneath vehicles, UV®3 Mobile is most useful when scrutinising undercarriages for bombs, weapons or contraband items. Vehicles are screened within seconds, resolving traffic disruption caused by the conventional mirror-search method. The award-winning system is the only one of its kind to screen both moving and non-moving vehicles. In addition, the system can also be embedded in the ground to conduct intensified checking as a fixed station.

Who needs it

UV®3 Mobile provides innovative security solutions and allows quick deployment at vital locations, such as checkpoints, prisons, courts, energy and petroleum plants, airports and other high security premises.

How it works

UV®3 Mobile consists of an Observation Unit (OU) and a Receiving Laptop (RL). Compact in size, the motorised OU consists of high-resolution monochrome camera(s) with an integrated illumination system. Upon activation, the unit will move to screen, capture and process the undercarriage image of the stationary vehicle within seconds. The captured image will be wirelessly transmitted to the RL. The RL serves to store, retrieve and display images for analysis as well as act as a control for the motorised shuttle.

Additional features

UV®3 Mobile can be incorporated with Vehicle Licence Plate Recognition to recognise and collect a database of the vehicle licence plate numbers. The driver’s facial image as well as colour and model of the vehicle can also be captured. Data collected will be automatically stored. When the vehicle re-enters the checkpoint, UV®3 Mobile will retrieve the previously captured image to check if any modification has been made. With this incorporation, users can easily search for vehicles’ access records or print a copy of the undercarriage image.
